WHY DID YOU BOOK A SHOOT WITH DAPHNE AT HELLO BOUDOIR?

Something about turning 40 seemed like such a big milestone that I wanted to do something for myself to celebrate it. I had always wanted to do a boudoir shoot but always found a reason to talk myself out of it- this seemed like the perfect occasion to go for it.

WAS THIS YOUR FIRST BOUDOIR SESSION?

Yes!

NERVOUS? HOW NERVOUS 1-10?

Easily a 10. I was so nervous I considered never putting my car in park and hightailing it back home. Seriously, sat in my car and gave myself a pep talk.

WHEN DID YOU STOP BEING NERVOUS?

About 3.4 seconds after meeting Daphne.

But really, while Winter was doing my hair and makeup. They have such an easy camaraderie and obvious respect for each other that you forget that you're nervous, so by the time you see yourself, the nerves have disappeared.

Also, it's hard to remember that you're nervous when you're staring at the gorgeous portraits of other women who have come before you who have sat in the same chair!

And... Daphne is the ultimate hype woman. Every woman needs a friend like Daphne in her back pocket or in her ear every time she looks in the mirror, because you will not have a negative thought about yourself when she's around!
