WHY DID YOU BOOK A SHOOT WITH DAPHNE AT HELLO BOUDOIR?

I wanted to feel good about myself, I wanted to see myself as sexy again and have physical proof. I don't take a lot of pictures of myself (selfies) and I wanted a unique way to capture time in a bottle, or a book in this case.

WAS THIS YOUR FIRST BOUDOIR SESSION?

Yes

NERVOUS? HOW NERVOUS 1-10?

I guess I was a 10 when I first clicked the Book Appointment button.

WHEN DID YOU STOP BEING NERVOUS?

As soon as Daphne started emailing me the homework assignments to prepare for the shoot, I got much less nervous, and when Daphne met me at the studio the morning of the shoot and was so warm and welcoming that she felt like an old friend, I wasn't nervous at all.

DID YOU ENJOY THE PLANNING? WAS IT HELPFUL?

I LOVED the planning! It really helped me get an idea of what I liked about boudoir photography, and helped me to figure out what kind of looks I wanted to go for. Do the planning!

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE PART YOUR BOUDOIR EXPERIENCE?

The boudoir shoot was my favorite. I loved wearing the outfits I spent so much time planning for my beautiful portraits.

I ADDED THE MARILYN EXPERIENCE AND THE FLORAL MILK BATH TO MY SESSION.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT YOURSELF SINCE YOUR SHOOT AT HELLO BOUDOIR? DID ANYTHING IN YOUR LIFE CHANGE?

When I booked the appointment, I was sure this was going to be a once in a lifetime thing, but as says it was over, I immediately began planning my second shoot and even a third. I remember having the thought the following day at work that, I guess I'm the kind of hot chick that does boudoir shoots in her spare time... that's pretty badass.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO A WOMAN THAT DOESN'T THINK SHE COULD BE AS BRAVE AS YOU? WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE THINKING ABOUT DOING A BOUDOIR SHOOT?

I don't know that brave is what I felt. It was more like I wanted it bad enough to sort of rationalize away any secret fears that were trying to poke holes in my resolve. I think as women we put our own wants and dreams on the back burner a lot, and instead focus on what's best for our family and what they want...but it's your life too. You're the main character in your own life and you should get to have what you want too.

A once in a lifetime adventure for Katrina soon turned into an additional fun Halloween shoot and she is now planning her 3rd shoot for mid 2023.
